It's kinda depressing having my SMP application rejected :/ And I don't even know why! Okay, maybe I'm just too stupid or something. RS HERE I COME. YAY. THIS IS JUST GR8.
I'll stop myself here in case I start ranting. I shouldn't be, really. I should totally just accept the fact.
Anyway, these 2 days have been interesting for me. I've been hanging around my mum's cousin's law firm, just being extra & feeling really, really extra. It's not even proper work! Like, when I offered to help some woman photocopy, she didn't even want me to. I feel kinda useless & out of place.
People are nice, though. Especially the receptionist. And today someone had a bday celebration & I was offered cake :) Which was rlly good! Well, I have to say that I learnt quite a great deal. Mum's cousin is rlly nice to me too. But it still feels weird that I'm all alone there, having to put on this pretense/pretence (?), & with no one my age to talk to. It exhausts me.
But thank God that things went smoothly these two days :) And thank God that I'll only be there for 2 weeks. (I'm starting to count down!)
Well, now I'm convinced that law isn't as cool as I thought. It isn't like the movies either! & today I hadta read & translate some 15-paged CHINESE article with no paragraphing at all! It was some document from some court in China, I think. I was supposed read it and then tell my uncle what it said 'cause he said his chinese was really hopeless. (Yeah it is! It was so amusing when he tried to read just one line of text :D) Bytheway, I died doing that. Sigh, at least I learnt what is Plaintiff and Defendant in chinese! YUAN2 GAO4 and BEI4 GAO4 :)
